About You

Are you a ‘foodie’?

The mere fact that you have reached our website means you are probably a culinary aficionado, a “foodie” if you will.  There’s nothing to be ashamed of, we are foodies too, which means we already have something in common.  For us foodies, food and beverage consumption does not only satisfy our basic need of nourishment, it is a comprehensive and pleasurable sensory experience which can make us reminisce just as easily as it can lead us to new discoveries.

When traveling abroad, foodies don’t just like to go out for a meal, they enjoy gaining in-depth knowledge of the destination’s culture and learning about the local or regional cuisine and wine.  They like to visit farms and vineyards to see how foods are grown.  Foodies also pay special attention to how foods are prepared and they are quite interested in local traditions.  But perhaps more importantly, foodies are adventurers at heart, eager to try new ingredients, new recipes, and new dishes.

So there, you are a foodie just like us.  However, you are not quite sure if our culinary tours are for you, right?  Take the short quiz below and find out just how ready you really are.

1. Do you prefer to:

  1. Take a cruise where you can unwind in a microscopic luxury cabin, stand in line for a buffet meal where today’s lunch looks eerily similar to yesterday’s dinner, be elbow to elbow with the finest of tourist herds, and visit exciting ports of call where you can hit all the tourist traps known to man? or
  2. Go on vacation to truly get away and relax, indulge your palate with gastronomic wonders, immerse yourself in the richness of other cultures, and have the time of your life in the process?

2. Would you rather:

  1. Do what everyone else does and get the obligatory “been there–done that” T-shirt and photos? or
  2. Follow your instincts, try something different, learn while you have fun, and bring back the recipes and culinary knowledge that can allow you to relive the experience over and over again with your family and friends?

3. Would you rather:

  1. Take the entire family to a theme park for a week of canned fun and quality time, or
  2. Stick a fork in your eye?

O.K., so number 3 is a little extreme.  But you get the point.  Life is too short not to enjoy it.  Live a little.  Carpe diem!  Join us, you won’t regret it.
